Privacy Policy

Global Business Ventures ("Woodbun", "we", "us") handles personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

2. What we collect

• What you give us: your name, delivery address, PIN code, email address, phone number and order details when you place an order or make an enquiry. If you ask for a GST invoice, the GSTIN and business name you enter at checkout.
• Payment data: handled by our payment gateway partner. We receive a payment confirmation and a reference number. We do not receive or store your full card, UPI or net-banking credentials.
• Automatically: basic device and usage analytics, and for the augmented-reality feature, technical performance diagnostics such as model load times and rendering performance.

3. The augmented-reality feature

The "View in your room" feature uses your device camera to render a 3D model of a product in your space. The camera view is processed on your device to draw the preview. Woodbun's own systems do not receive a copy of your camera feed for storage or marketing. Your device or browser may ask for camera permission; you can refuse it, and the rest of the site works normally without it.

4. Why we use it

To process, schedule and deliver your order; to raise a compliant tax invoice; to provide support and handle warranty and grievance matters; to operate and improve the site and the AR tool; to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations; and, only where you have consented, to send you marketing.

5. Who we share it with

With our delivery and installation teams, our payment gateway partner, and service providers who work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Where your data is processed

We are based in India and your order is fulfilled from India. Some of the service providers we rely on — including our e-commerce platform, our email and analytics providers, and parts of our payment infrastructure — operate globally and may process or store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we require the provider to apply appropriate contractual and technical safeguards, and we transfer data only to countries that are not restricted for this purpose by the Central Government under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Children and young people

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of a child — anyone under 18 — without the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We do not use a child's personal data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising, and we do not process it in any way likely to cause a detrimental effect on the child's wellbeing.

If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at the address on our Contact page and we will delete it.

8. How long we keep it

Order, invoice and tax records are retained for the period required under GST and income-tax law. Other personal data is retained only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as you hold an account with us.

9. Your rights

You may ask us for access to your personal data, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it, withdraw a consent you have given, and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. To do any of these, contact our Grievance Officer using the details on our Contact page.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or we do not respond within the time we have promised, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India, which is the authority established under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 to hear such complaints. Please raise the matter with our Grievance Officer first — the Board expects you to have done so.

10. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout may not work correctly if you block the necessary ones.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date below tells you when it last changed.
